Discover the Hidden Gem of the Alps—Slovenia Awaits!
With its dramatic peaks, deep gorges, and soaring limestone towers, Slovenia is a hiker's dream come true. Nestled between Italy, Austria, Hungary, and Croatia, the Julian Alps offer all the breathtaking beauty of the European Alps—without the crowds. This is a land of storybook alpine villages, fairy-tale castles, and karst landscapes, where rich culture and vibrant cuisine await around every bend.
Our journey winds through the stunning Triglav National Park, along the crystal-clear shores of Lake Bohinj, over the rugged trails of the Julian Alps, and into the emerald-hued Soča Valley. Along the way, we'll dive into local traditions, savor hearty Slovenian dishes, and connect with the country's fascinating history and warm hospitality.
Once tucked behind the Iron Curtain, Slovenia has emerged as a world-class destination, blending modern comfort with unspoiled natural beauty. With its well-marked trails, welcoming villages, and peaceful charm, there's never been a better time to explore this alpine treasure.

All participants are guaranteed their own bed on our trips.
A Single Supplement (SS) means you will have your own room with your own bed, and no other participants will share that room with you. Single supplements are limited, offered at an additional cost, and will appear as a booking option at the time of registration if still available.
A Double Accommodation means you will share a room with another participant. You will still have your own bed. Shared beds can be requested but cannot always be accommodated depending upon the property.
Bathrooms: Bathroom arrangements vary depending on the trip and lodging. A single supplement guarantees your own sleeping space but may still include a shared bathroom. Double accommodations typically share a bathroom with a roommate and sometimes additional participants, depending on the property. Private or ensuite bathrooms will be noted in the trip details when available.
Breakfasts will be buffets at the hotels where we're staying. Dinner is in restaurants; sometimes you'll order off the menu, other times you'll have a choice of vegetarian or non-vegetarian entree. Lunches may either be picnics or in restaurants.
Vegetarian and vegan options for this trip are available but may be more limited than you are used to. If you are concerned about having enough protein during your trip, plan to bring some plant-based protein sources such as nut butter, instant dried hummus, or high-protein energy bars. If you cannot eat gluten or if you have other dietary restrictions i.e. vegan, you will need to bring some supplemental food with you.
You only need to pay a single supplement if you want to guarantee you have your own room. Otherwise we’ll pair you up with someone and then switch roommates every time we switch lodging.
