Travel Experts

We create experiences of a lifetime for women seeking a new adventure. We do the legwork to scout and hand-curate each departure. We strive to make our itineraries a great value, and an incredible return on investment. We are the ‘domestic experts’ for women’s active travel in the U.S. Our trips are excellent for solo travelers, bucket-list experiences, or milestone life events. We handle the logistics so you can fully experience some of the most breathtaking places on earth alongside other curious women and with the support of our experienced guides. It’s not about how fast you hike or how many passport stamps you have- it’s about taking on a new challenge with the support and friendship of the AGC community.

Our History

Adventures in Good Company was founded in 1999 by Marian Marbury with a vision to empower women in the outdoors by offering fun, supportive and challenging trips where women of all shapes, sizes and expertise are celebrated. Prior to starting AGC, Marian traveled and guided for Woodswomen, which was a non-profit that pioneered women's outdoor recreation and leadership. In 1993, Woodswomen had 59 domestic trips and 11 international trips ranging from cross-country skiing in Minnesota to climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. When Woodswomen closed its doors in 1999, Marian wanted to continue offering trips for women based on the same philosophy, which includes valuing emotional as well as physical safety, personal choice and individual goals, and healthy relationships with each other and the environment. Over the next 20 years the company steadily grew, attracting both participants and guides who share our vision of what adventure travel should be. In 2020 Kelly Kimple assumed ownership, bringing fresh energy, and a commitment to the values and philosophy on which AGC was founded.
