AGC offers small group adventures that encourage women of all backgrounds and abilities to (re)connect with their adventurous selves, physical abilities, other women, different cultures, and the natural world.
💙 Adventures in Good Company is a leader in women’s active travel.
We craft unforgettable, expertly guided experiences for women who value adventure, connection, and being well cared for along the way. Every AGC trip is thoughtfully designed and hand-curated by our experienced team, delivering exceptional value and a meaningful return on your time, energy, and investment.
From solo journeys and bucket-list adventures to milestone celebrations, we specialize in creating nature-based experiences across the U.S. and around the world that bring women together in powerful ways. Whether you’re a seasoned traveler or trying something new, we take care of the logistics — so you can stay present, curious, and fully engaged with the places you explore.
With the camaraderie of like-minded women and the steady leadership of our expert guides, AGC trips aren’t about speed, summit counts, or passport stamps. They’re about showing up with intention, embracing the adventure at your own pace, and traveling with the confidence that comes from being in truly good company.
Made with care, guided with heart, and shared in good company 💙✨
🌿 Adventures in Good Company was founded in 1999 with a simple but powerful belief: women thrive when they are supported, trusted, and encouraged to explore the outdoors on their own terms.
Founded by Marian Marbury, AGC was created to offer fun, thoughtfully designed adventure travel experiences where women of diverse backgrounds, experience levels, and aspirations could come together in community. Before launching AGC, Marian traveled and guided with Woodswomen, a pioneering nonprofit that helped shape women’s outdoor recreation and leadership in the U.S.
At its height in the early 1990s, Woodswomen operated dozens of domestic and international trips — from cross-country skiing in Minnesota to summiting Mount Kilimanjaro — setting a new standard for women-centered adventure. When Woodswomen closed its doors in 1999, Marian carried its spirit forward by founding AGC, grounding the company in enduring principles of emotional and physical safety, personal choice, and meaningful connection — with one another and with the natural world.
Over more than two decades, AGC has grown into a trusted leader in women’s active travel, guided by a shared commitment to care, integrity, and authentic experience. In 2020, Kelly Kimple took the helm, bringing fresh energy while honoring the values that have defined AGC from the beginning — and stewarding the company into its next chapter with intention and heart.
Built on legacy. Guided by values. Always in good company 💙
