I chose this trip because of the variety of outdoor activities and because I wanted to go back to New Mexico. Every activity was a highlight for me.

It was better than I expected. Leaders Deborah and Anna Claire were so good to us. They both had a great sense of humor and a lot of patience. The most fun was having a roommate that I felt like I had know forever after five minutes. The horseback ride was so fun, it was what I was most nervous about.

I felt more as a third wheel on this trip as too much time on our own and I didn’t travel with a friend (never have).

The rafting trip exceeded my expectations due to leaders knowledge about the area, ease and humor. I also thought the hike prior to going to Bandelier was especially interesting.

The whitewater rafting, horseback riding and hiking were highlights for me. Each day was better than the last! Our guides were fantastic and helpful. They were well versed in the countryside, culture and history of the area. They were supportive and encouraging. My least favorite part of the trip was the spa. I was sorely disappointed that I could not have the treatment I was looking for. Long before we departed for Santa Fe, I found the treatment I wanted. However, we did not try to book these treatments until the day before! At that point there was hardly anything left for me. I only got a therapeutic massage at the last minute because they had a cancellation. I was lucky to get it. Perhaps if we were to make the spa reservations on a first come, first served basis (when we sign up for the trip) we may have better accommodations at Ten Thousand Waves. And we would not feel that sense of disappointment on our vacation.

Whitewater rafting and Bandelier hike was highlight. I would recommend adding two days to the trip in order to go to Georgia O'Keefe's Ranch and Studion, as well as,go horseback riding at Ghost Ranch north of Santa Fe.

The leaders were great! The women were a nice, friendly group- especially since I was traveling alone. Some aspects of the trip I had fears about, did them, and had a great time. Found out I am quite capable of the physical requirements. Loved the horseback riding and the afternoon at the spa! Altogether it was varied and lots of fun.

I was so impressed with the organization!! Everything moved seamlessly from one activity to another. Each day and eve we had a fun gathering to organize and talk about what we needed, timing etc.. The food was excellent, provided by our guides. Also the restaurant choices. Our guides were fun, informative, organized!!!

I thoroughly enjoyed every activity on the trip, except the guided tour of Santa Fe. The major points of the guided tour could be done by our wonderful AGC guides and the tour could end with a trip to the chocolate store!!

The extension part of the trip was the highlight to me (and 'made' the trip for me), followed by the last day of the regular part of the trip. I loved visiting the pueblos and hearing our native American guides.

My highlights were Chaco Culture Natural Historical Park, kayaking on the middle of the Rio Grande, and the Acoma Pueblo/Sky City tour guide (I thought he was really good). From talking to others on the extension, people wished they had more time to explore Old Town ABQ (I agree, maybe explore and lunch on your own after breakfast one day - if this could even be worked in. Or advise come early/stay late to explore?) and that the tram ride to the top of the Sandia Mtns would only be worth it to see the sunset b/c after dark you just see city lights (so maybe eat up top?). People on the extension also said they liked it better than the first half of the trip b/c the historical/cultural aspects were greater. I really liked the multiple activities offered, which I couldn't have done without the first half of the trip.
