Posted: Monday, February 6, 2023

Have you been longing for a just-girls getaway? From horseback riding at a private ranch in Colorado, to winery tours in north Georgia, we have a wide selection of trips to choose from.

Here are our five favorite US-based retreats for you and your besties:

1. Magical Maine

Bar Harbor, Maine

Maine is called "Vacationland" for a reason, and you and your girlfriends will discover why on this week-long trip! Our itinerary winds us up and down the rocky, majestic Maine coastline, into Acadia National Park, and through some of Acadia's most quaint villages.

This trip includes transportation to and from the Bangor airport, seven night's lodging in twin and single room options, sea kayaking adventures, bicycle rentals, dinner at a lobster pound, and all meals from dinner on the first day, through breakfast on the last (with the exception of one lunch and one dinner.)

There is plenty of room in this itinerary for you and your besties to schedule whale watching and a ferry to Cranberry Island.

2. Rafting and Hiking the Rogue River

Merlin, Oregon

The Rogue River is one of the most famous rivers of the Western United States - and for good reason. This trip covers the most scenic portion of the Rogue River Wilderness. On this trip, you and your girlfriends will enjoy class II-IV rapids - perfect for novice and intermediate rafters. If you and your friends prefer to hike instead, you can enjoy the river from the gentle riverside trails, where you will see old homesteads, fields of wildflowers, and the ever-changing vistas of the river below. The hardest part of this trip? Deciding what to do each day!

Your trip includes five nights in double occupancy accommodation, transportation to and from the Medford Airport, meals from dinner on Friday through breakfast the following Wednesday, and 5% land and water access fees!

3. Colorado Horseback Riding and Hiking

Loveland, Colorado

While horseback riding is one of the main attractions of this trip, you and your girlfriends are welcome to ride as much or as little as you want. If you ever need a break from the saddle, miles of trails, an outdoor heated pool, and fun camp games like pickleball and shuffleboard! You'll also have an opportunity to enjoy yoga by the pristine river that flows through the ranch, and even a relaxing massage.
On this trip, your accommodations include charming western-style cabins and historic guest houses, with a mix of shared bedrooms and bathrooms. The side-by-side cabins each feature a clawfoot tub, cozy front sitting room, and a shared porch - so you can bunk next to your bestie and wind down each evening by enjoying the mild Colorado summer nights.
This trip to the Sylvan Dale Ranch includes all meals, round-trip transportation to and from the airport, and the company of 1-2 experienced AGC guides, depending on your group size.

4. Wildflowers & Waterfalls: Exploring the Great Smokies

Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Tennessee

This week-long trip to America's most treasured national park will give you and your girlfriends an opportunity to explore Appalachia's most scenic wonders: wildflowers, misty mountains, native trees and animals, and stunning waterfalls.
We will stay at a luxury lodge perched on a mountainside just outside Gatlinburg, where you can enjoy a covered porch with rocking chairs to enjoy the scenic views, a hot tub, a cozy fireplace, and private rooms with ensuite bathrooms. Your trip includes all meals, transportation to and from the Knoxville airport, travel during the trip, and white water rafting!

5. Waterfalls, Wildflowers, and Wineries

Dahlonega, Georgia

Northern Georgia, where the southern terminus of the Appalachian Trail is located, is well-known for its rugged and gorgeous terrain, thundering waterfalls and... wineries? The soil, climate, and elevation of north Georgia are perfect for hiking, but also ideal wine country. This 4-day getaway will take you to the hidden gems of Georgia: the wineries.
This trip includes all your meals, including brunch on your last morning, roundtrip transportation from the Atlanta Airport, and all the activities on our custom itinerary: private wine-tasting, hikes (including along the Appalachian Trail,) and winery tours.
