Women's Travelvacations for women

Spring Break Vacations 2010

Remember when you were in school and the promise of spring vacation was what got you through those long winter days. Well spring break isn't just for kids! And best of all, you don't have to take spring break when every one else does (unless you're a teacher, sorry). So whether you want to try rock climbing in Joshua Tree, swim in the waters of Havasu Creek, hike the National Parks of southern Utah, count the wildflowers in the Smokies, visit waterfalls and wineries in north Georgia, or even journey overseas to Italy, we offer spring break vacations that are way more fun than anything you did when you were young.

Hiking Lodge to Lodge on the Appalachian Trail

Top of Page

There are many ways to hike the Appalachian Trail: day hikes, slackpacking, backpacking, and hut to hut. On this trip, however, we do it in style! We'll go lodge to lodge, staying in the lovely and very different lodges that are conveniently spaced along Skyline Drive in Shenandoah National Park, while our luggage is transported by van. This part of the AT is well-graded and well-maintained, with climbs rarely exceeding 500 or 1,000 feet, so it is excellent for beginning hikers and anyone who enjoys vistas and abundant wildlife. $1280 1  2  [3]  4  5  This trip is currently full.

Tuscany is widely regarded as one of the loveliest regions in Italy, the true heart of the country. Hiking through a timeless landscape along paths that wind through vineyards and past ancient farmhouses, shopping for locally produced specialties, relaxing in romantic outdoor cafes, or exploring the art and architecture of the well known towns of Florence and Siena, it is truly a feast for all the senses. On this trip we combine hiking off the beaten path with visiting some of the best known destinations, giving you an intimate experience of authentic Tuscany. $3400  Rating: 1  2  [3]  4  5
