For novice and experienced hikers:

• April 28 - May 4, 2008: Navajo Land Trek Learn about both hiking and Navajo culture in one of the most magical canyons in the Southwest.
  
  
• May 10 - 20, 2008: Treasures of Tuscany Eat and hike- is there more to life? And an added benefit is that there is sufficient hiking to wear off the extra calories from Italian cooking. More tiramisu, anyone?
  
  
• May 18 - 25, 2008: Enchanted Spring: Exploring New Mexico While not a pure hiking trip, we do some great hikes on this trip that are a perfect introduction to pleasures of hiking.
  
  
• May 31 - June 8, 2008: Discovering Central Spain The hiking on this trip is mixed with exploring many of the wonders of central Spain. If you've never been to Spain and don't want to see it from a tour bus, this is the trip for you.
  
  
• July 12 - 20, 2008: Bulgaria's Mountains and and Monasteries Bulgaria is a fascinating country and the balance of culture and hiking on this trip should appeal to both novice and experienced hikers alike
  
  
• August 24 - 28, 2008: White Mountain High With two hikes offered each day, one longer and one shorter, this is the perfect trip for giving hiking a try without making a major commitment.
  
  
• September 21 - 25 and September 28 - October 2, 2008: Lodge-to-Lodge on the Superior Hiking Trail This has the same structure as the White Mountain trip with two trips a day.
  

For hikers with some experience and adventurous novice hikers in good condition:

• August 9 - 16, 2008: Canadian Rockies Hiking Holiday Yes, the Canadian Rockies really are as beautiful as the pictures.
  
  
• September 6 - 17, 2008: Trekking to Machu Picchu Get away from the crowds and experience the true land of the Incas.
  
  
• September 14 - 23, 2008: Hiking the Julian Alps The Julian Alps, just as beautiful and much less traveled than other alpine mountains, offer spectacular hiking
  

For hikers with some experience who want both wilderness and a bed at night

July 20 - 26, 2008: Hiking Hut to Hut on the Appalachian Trail using the classic hut system of the Appalachian Mountain Club


September 1 - 7, 2008: Hiking Hut to Hut in British Columbia Using the little known system of Wells Gray Provincial Park, we won't see another person.

For hikers looking for a significant physical challenge:

• February 15 - 28, 2008: Mt Kilimanjaro Climb and Safari A trek to the rooftop of the world.
  
  
• October 11 - 26, 2008: Trekking in Bhutan Only recently opened to travelers, this Himalayan country has not sacrificed its culture to tourism
