We will be backpacking to remote shelters and/or campsites, enjoying spectacular and remote high mountain lakes and waterfalls, and enjoying the peace and solitude that only comes through backpacking. In late August, after the summer crowds have departed, the invigorating weather and challenging hiking make the Park an ideal location for an active vacation. $1025

Near the middle of this section, the trail follows Big Tinker Valley and the mountain ridges beyond. For much of their length, the cliffs overhang, and the trail is very close to the edge.
